We have just released VPOP3 v6.11 which you can download from http://www.pscs.co.uk/downloads/vpop3.php.
This is a free upgrade for all users who have active software maintenance or priority support on 28th January 2015. Other users can purchase the upgrade and 1 year of software maintenance on our website.
The full change log can be viewed in our issue tracker.
The main change in this version, and the reason it has taken longer than usual to release, is that we have added the facility to backup the message store to an Amazon S3 ‘bucket’ (for VPOP3 Enterprise only). We will write a blog entry shortly with detailed instructions on how to do this, and how it works, but basically you create an S3 bucket, and put the details into VPOP3 in Settings -> Database -> S3 Backup, and leave it to it. To restore (or keep a warm backup) just enter the same bucket details into another VPOP3 installation.
Some highlights are:
- Support message store backup/restore to Amazon S3 (VPOP3 Enterprise only)
- Allow encoding of null characters in spamfilter ‘GetDecodedSection’ command, to allow deep inspection of attachments by spam filter
- Add extra options to mail sender domain filters
- Some UI improvements to autoresponder settings
- Fix CVE-2011-0411 security loophole
- Fix problem with Webmail showing attachments with no filename extension
- Fix some logging behaviour
- Fix some problems with autoresponder template custom fields
- Fix problem with held messages not displaying in the Outqueue viewer
- Fix problems with Info page when no Internet connection
- Many more bug fixes and improvements (see the change log)
